Foundation Year
Thiru.Vi.Ka. Higher Secondary School was established in Shenoy Nagar, Chennai, with a vision to provide quality education to the community. Named after the great Tamil scholar and freedom fighter Thiru.Vi.Kalyanasundaram.
Growing Foundations
The school expanded its infrastructure and curriculum, establishing itself as a premier educational institution in North Chennai. New classrooms and science laboratories were built to accommodate growing student enrollment.
Academic Excellence Begins
The school gained recognition for its outstanding academic results. Students began achieving top ranks in state examinations, establishing a tradition of excellence that continues today.
Sports & Cultural Growth
Beyond academics, the school developed strong sports and cultural programs. Students excelled in inter-school competitions, winning numerous state-level awards in athletics, cricket, and cultural events.
Modernization Era
Computer education was introduced, keeping pace with India's IT revolution. The school embraced technology in education, setting up computer labs and incorporating digital learning into the curriculum.
Golden Jubilee
Celebrated 50 years of educational excellence! The school organized a grand alumni reunion and upgraded its infrastructure with modern classrooms, a new library, and advanced science laboratories.
Digital Transformation
Smart classrooms and digital learning tools were implemented. The school adopted online assessment systems and interactive teaching methods, preparing students for the digital age.
Resilience & Innovation
Successfully adapted to online learning during the pandemic and emerged stronger. The school launched its digital portal and continued to maintain its exceptional 98% pass rate.
